November Events

Fall has come to the Eastern Shore. The geese and ducks are returning for their winter visit. Weekend Bird Walks resume in earnest at the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge, and there is plenty of shopping and entertainment in historic downtown Cambridge. Second Saturday, as always, will provide shoppers and gallery goers additional opportunities with late hours, music, and more. Check out the website, www.cambridgemainstreet.com for additional information.

November is also an "R" month and local oysters are in season. Oyster fritters, a savory stew, oysters on the half shell. We've got great restaurants preparing these delectable, local bivalves!

And don't forget about the Waterfowl Festival; it's in neighboring Talbot County on November 10,11, 12.

With holidays just around the corner, it might be a good time to take a break and rejuvenate; curl up with a good book and a cup of tea or glass of wine in front of a fire. We have three common rooms with fireplaces from which to choose. It's a quieter time here on the Eastern Shore; visit and see how special it can be.
